WHO WE ARE
Matt and I met in June 2000 when I had just completed a degree in portrait and fashion photography and Matt was a Project Manager with an expensive camera. I agreed to show him how to use it if he went on a date with me...
Our shared interest in photography developed into a professional partnership in 2004 when we couldn't find a suitable wedding photographer for our own wedding.
We wanted a wedding photographer who would capture the essence of the day not just the events of it and produce beautiful images that were both classic and exciting. Most of all we wanted pictures that would make us laugh & cry and relive it all – that we could look at in 10 years time and feel like we were back there.
Oh, and we didn't want to spend a fortune either.
But being photographers ourselves our standards and expectations were much higher than our budget and eventually we gave up looking.
Determined to be the wedding photographers we didn't have - Funny Old World was born.
WHAT WE DO
We will talk to you, listen to you and find out what is important to you. We'll ask lots of questions about your wedding beforehand so that on the day we can just get on with taking pictures and you can get on with celebrating. We work as a pair to get the most comprehensive coverage but we'll do it so unobtrusively that you'll forget we are there.
HOW WE DO IT
Our approach is relaxed but we are efficient and organised so we take great pictures quickly & quietly. Our style is informal but we don't go for the 'warts and all' approach... Funny Old World photographs are full of humor and energy but are also graceful and elegant.
